Nicky and Simon first met back in 1986 when they worked as reporters on the Selby Times newspaper. They have remained friends ever since.
Nicky left journalism to work in the world of public relations – firstly for PR agencies before moving in-house as PR officer for the famous Joshua Tetley & Son Brewery in Leeds. She later worked as a corporate communications manager for Carlsberg in Leeds and Northampton.
Nicky is an experienced event manager and she will manage the ‘It’s The Beer Talking’ bookings and front-of-house duties at events, leaving Simon free to share his expertise and knowledge about craft ales and breweries with guests at the tasting and walking events.
